small conversations with Beyonder.

small conversations with Beyonder.

A holiday home management company in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, New Zealand.

At Beyonder they handpick their holiday homes, care for the properties themselves, and collaborate with local likeminded artisans. Alongside this their thoughtful touches and sustainable eco-friendly essentials help to set the scene for unique slow living experiences.

We chat to Haley about their accommodation, places to visit around The Bay of plenty and more…

Can you please tell us about Beyonder and how it all started?

Beyonder is a holiday home management company in the Bay of Plenty, where we manage and promote all types of homes from 1 bedroom to 5 bedrooms and we accommodate guests from all around the world! Think Airbnb managers, but more 😉 Beyonder was started after working for a company in Wanaka, which ignited a passion for people, property and experiences and we wanted to bundle it all up and promote homes here in the beautiful Bay of Plenty.

We have always loved booking accommodation for family/friends and finding a truly unique place. A place where there are thoughtful touches, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and local, organic and eco-friendly products.

The classic Kiwi holiday is going to a bach, playing backyard cricket and board games, while eating good food and relaxing with family and friends. I wanted people to have a platform where they could find a range of beautiful accommodation options – from those classic beach baches to luxury homes or even contemporary urban apartments. That way they can easily pick what works for them suits their needs and helps them relax.

On top of that, anyone who knows the Bay knows we have so many amazing people, great experiences and products here. It was important to me to be able to showcase these to our guests and our homeowners. Being able to collaborate with local artisans and growers, and use eco-friendly products are the kind of thoughtful touches that people remember. They help to enhance and elevate the experience even more.

If you could describe your holiday homes in three words, what would they be?

Thoughtful, local and collaborative

What has been your favourite part of the Beyonder journey so far?

We love seeing our guests and owners walk through the doorway of a home and feeling an instant sense of relaxation, pausing to take a moment and slowing down. I have also enjoyed helping our owners bring their homes to life, to make them a place for memories to live.

Beyonder has been using our products for a while now which we’re thankful for. What made you use our sustainable paper range products in your accommodation?

We are all about supporting Local/New Zealand businesses, and when we were searching for a supplier we wanted a company that aligned with our values which is providing sustainable and eco-friendly products. We believe it is the little changes that make a big difference, which is why we chose With Small.

What is your current favourite wrap design of ours from our wrapped TP?

Our fave is the colourful wrapped design. Loos aren’t the most luxurious of places, so why not make a bathroom pop with colour!

What sustainable practices have you introduced into your business?

Apart from providing With Small toilet paper and tissues, we also provide only eco-friendly body washes, hand soaps and kitchen cleaning products in our homes. We also make sure guests are aware of proper recycling and composting practices too.

I can see you work with a few local businesses. What makes working with NZ businesses so important to you?

We have an amazing array of entrepreneurs here, there are so many amazing brands and products. Partnering with these small businesses means we support each other and meet some amazing locals at the same time!

Do you have any must-see/ do recommendations for people visiting The Bay of Plenty?

Apart from the amazing beaches, there are so many bush walks, biking tracks and waterfalls to chase. After completing a day of activities you are pretty spoilt for choice with the array of local cafes, bars and restaurants. A few of my favourites are Eddies and Elspeth for brekky or coffee, Rising Tide for dumplings and a beer at Centrale in Tauranga for a pizza and Italian wine.

Lastly, can you please tell our readers how they can find and support you?
